Full Description
In Sudbury Meadows, on the SW bank of the River Stour by footbridge over the river on path to King's Marsh from 'Mill Hotel', Sudbury. Type 27 pillbox. Hexagonal pillbox facing E. Small embrasures of which two are now blocked. The creep through entrance has grass on its roof and the LAA chamber is now filled with earth. Most of the yellow brick cladding has fallen away (S1). Part of defence works associated with the Colne - Mildenhall stopline (S2). It is now partly covered by vegetation and serves as a bat hibernacula (S3).
