Full Description
Area of partially surviving historic landscape - Church Croft. N of Church Field (COK 077). Western boundary not entirely clear where abutts church.
Acreware land, suggesting early (suggested to be Saxon) tenure of farmland including 'sackage' land - (giving grazing rights) and 'campo' names. Defined by local historian Vera Lloyd using various early maps, field names and other documents (her map is held in large hanging cabinet) (S1).
Some of the internal field boundaries have now gone.
