Full Description

Two evaluation trenches were excavated within the grounds of Honington Primary School, to the west of the main school buildings. These revealed one small undated pit/ posthole. Unstratified later prehistoric flint flakes, as well as one sherd of medieval pottery were recovered. The archaeological levels were well preserved. The original trenching plan had to be altered due to the presence of a concrete path and several underground services (S1).
