Full Description
List of metal detector finds including a roman belt buckle, a late saxon strap end, two medieval strap ends, a bronze age coin, a counter, spindle whorl, a knife and a bronze age lugged chisel. Pictures shown in (S1).
1992: [metal detected] lugged chisel (illustratration in parish file) found by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) at TL 819 876 approx ('Areas of finds doubtful')(S2). Could be from field/s on either side of the river, ie, Norfolk or Suffolk!
Note the fields on the Suffolk side of the river here may include redeposited soil from Thetford.
