Full Description
September 2013: crpmarks (S1) of field system consisting of small irregular fields and small sub-rectangular enclosure (TYY 062) predating 1880s OS mapping (earlier not checked). Extends across and is clearly cut by E-W track/road on N side which itself appears to be of some antiquity (shown on 1838 OS and later maps - earlier not checked) and Candlet Farmhouse which it passes is said to be early 17th century (see Listing). Field system is clearly earlier.
Includes ring ditches and pit cluster cropmarks TYY 055, 056 & TYY 063-066 and field boundary TYY 055.
