Full Description

Surface scatter grey ware pottery and coins found metal detecting. Finds concentrated in two areas, (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S1). Coins include a denarius of Geta (AD 198-211) and are mostly C4, terminating with Julian (AD 360-363).
December 1986: further fragment of cut down ?brooch (S2).
1989: 23 bronze & silver coins of C2-C4 (up to fallen horseman), bronze finger ring, crossbow brooch fragment (C4), bracelet fragment & 11 sherds pottery (S1)(S3). Also Sax balance, Med metalwork scatter & Preh scatter.
1991: Watching brief in advance of 9 hole golf course located 3 rim and 8 body sherds pottery - details in (S4).
SE Suffolk survey, found 10 BS and 4 RS greyware, 13 flakes and 3 medieval sherds (S5)
