Full Description

Site of a Former Railway Station and associated buildings visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (S1). The station was opened in 1865 and closed to passengers in 1961 before being complete closed to goods traffic in 1965. After the stations closure, a factory was built on the site of the goods yards. The station building remained until 1978 when part of it was demolished (S2).
