Full Description
1936: Two large C2 cinerary urns containing bone, plus two other broken urns, one of which was also full of bones. Found N of Police Station at junction of Glenfield & Fairfield Avenues. Tops found about 2 feet down (S2)(R1). Basil Brown was informed of the find of Rom cinerary urn (broken) found 2 feet deep in gas main trench in 1936. Possibly this is one of the 4 urns referred to above. Information in 1951 to Basil Brown from R Meehan, Surveyor in charge of Cliff Road estate development (S1).
