Full Description

Nunn's Mill, Quayside corn mill visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (S1). The building can be seen on subsequent photographs of the site however it was gutted by a fire in 1963. The shell of the building was incorporated into the new building known as Nunn's Mill, owned by Nunn's Coal and Corn Company Ltd. The foundation wall of this building was visible during an archaeological evaluation in 2015. A pair of semi-detached, two-storey houses were built next to the corn mill. Some of the foundations of these buildings were also recorded. The Victorian houses were demolished when the site was redeveloped in the 1960s (S2).
