Full Description
Moat, two sides, probably rectangular, occupied, isolated. Close to parish boundary.
Site visit as part of condition of SCC drainage grant for pond. Pond 1.5-2m deep. Chalky boulder clay sites but with one patch of sandy clay in base. Disturbed soil indicates infilled channels visible in profile. The largest on the East of the South Pond edge was 4m and may be the original moat line. It is however, alongside the present boundary marked by a ditch. West this material island raised. Further details in (S2).
