Full Description

2014: Geophysical survey revealed possible evidence of occupation illustrated by a series of enclosures, bordered by an associated droveway with a number of internal anomalies. It is most likely that these anomalies are the remains of the medieval settlement that formerly stood on the green's periphery (S1).

See CSA 031 which has recorded cropmarks and soilmarks of field boundary and possible enclosure ditches which may relate to a common edge settlement of medieval date are visible on aerial photographs on land to the west of Capel Green, Capel St Andrew.
