June 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Possible field artillery gun emplacements of World War Two date are visible on aerial photographs (S1) on Sutton walks, to the south east of Sutton Hoo.
These features were not visible on the earliest available photographs from World War Two (S2), and it is clear that other features in the area alter during the period between these two photographs (see SHER SUT 105).
