Full Description

A single upright timber (c200 x 120mm), which appeared to be of some antiquity, was identified during a watching brief. The bean was noted in the base of the slot for the beam to support the wall fronting straw lane. The timber was firmly held in the ground. No cut for the timber's insertion could be seen as it was surrounded by what must be later build up. (S1)
