Full Description

Moated Site SW of Moat Farm.
Moat, dry, trapezoid, unoccupied, isolated, close to parish boundary. 1975: A roughly rectangular moated site measuring externally about 40 by 70 paces, near the edge of a ploughed field. The moat is wet. The interior has trees and rough vegetation and is slightly higher than the surrounding field. A good typical example of a field monument, which is becoming rare in this part of the country (S1).
1981: Interior covered in tree, some are dead. Moat wet, weed covered with some dead wood in it (S1).
