Full Description
Copper alloy solid cast bird on a single expanding eg with and insert final sectioon and and angled base. There is a pierced loop on the birds back with a badly finished and unworn hole. The casting is quite rugh, especially around the pierced lug. The style and treatment suggest a Roman or pot-medieval date (S1).
