Full Description
April 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Possible medieval to post medieval field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the east of Butley Abbey Farm. The features are difficult to distinguish from geological marks in the field, it should be noted that the archaeology may be extensive than the area mapped. However, it was difficult to be certain of the nature of these features, and it is possible that they represent a continuation of the post medieval drainage ditches in the field to the west (SHER BUT 002).
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 29th April 2015.
