Full Description

September 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Several undated linear ditches are visible as faint cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the south of World’s End Plantation, Sutton. It was difficult to be certain of the true extent of these cropmarks, since they were very faint and ephemeral, and it was also uncertain whether they were archaeological or geological in nature, and since they were only visible on one year’s photography they have been recorded with a note of caution, but they have been recorded given their proximity to a flint and Iron Age pottery scatter (SHER SUT 056).
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 16th September 2015.
