Full Description
Ring ditch, circa 30m in diameter, on the NE corner of a rectilinear enclosure, approximately 40m x 35m, SW of ring ditch RMS 010, possibly associated with RMS 011. (S1)
The possible Prehistoric or Roman hut circle and enclosure, centred on TM 31654161, which is mentioned above can be seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The ring ditch is circa 16m in diameter and appears to have two entrances at TM 31654162 and TM 31664163. The enclosure is adjoined to the south-west side of the hut circle and is roughly 25m by 20m. The relationship between the ring ditch and the enclosure is not entirely clear but it is possible that the features are contemporary. There is no apparent relationship between this site and the other ring ditch to the north of this site (RMS 010) or the double-ditched enclosure to the east (RMS 011) (S1). (S2)
