Full Description

Anchorite recorded at Bury St. Edmunds cemetery, mentioned by R. M. Clay and A. Gransden (in the 'English Historical Review' and 'A History of the Abbeyof Bury St. Edmunds 1182-1256') (S1) (S2) (S3). It is believed a 'Dame Lucy' was enclosed there, as well as 'Lang(ina?), a virgin devoted to God' (S1) (S2) (S3). - However these could be the same person (S1).
