Full Description
One of the Medieval hermitages/anchorite cells in Suffolk, taken from the register of the Abbey of Bury St. Edmunds (S1) (S2). Probably of Stansfied, Bury St. Edmunds (rather than Stanfield, near Elmham or Stanfield Hall, Norfolk as suggested in S2). However, the exact location and details remain unknown.
