Full Description
Evaluation identified a possible Late Bronze Age post hole, a possible small Roman pit, and four other undated potential features (S1).
Evaluation over an area of 19.5ha in September 2018 involved 115 trenches. Six features including possible pits and tree-throw holes were investigated; two of these produced 19 sherds of Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery and 2 sherds of Roman pottery. 12 worked flints were recovered from three of these features.
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2018. (S2)
