Full Description
Former deer park, first recorded in 1306 (S1). Shimpling Park is marked on Hodskinson's map of 1783 (S2) and Shimpling Park Farm marked on 1st edition OS Map (S3).
Approximate mapping based on curving field boundaries of 1st edition OS map that are preserved on modern mapping.
