Full Description

Monitoring of groundworks for a rear extension revealed a curved wall built of septaria stone. While this curved wall area ofnly had a diamter of 1m it is reminiscent of a small apse to a chapel type structure and the use of septaria stongly suggests a medieval date. However monitoring for a cart lodge 4m to the east did not reveal any features or finds making the findings difficult to interpret (S1).
