Full Description
High House - circa 1500. Standing building.
"Notable cornerposts, chimneystack and external staircase turret. Interior with fine hall, carved bressumer, parlour/solar with dragon beam, moulded and carved ceilings, newel stair and huge cheese room reveals importance and wealth of Armiger family." (S1).
Did not belong to Armiger family. Recorded probable ownership in 1572 by the GOSNOLD family and probably built by them circa 1530-50 (S2).
