Full Description
Archaeological evaluation trenching revealed evidence for Post medieval demolished structures and an undated feature. The first structure consisted of a L shaped brick foundation, with its western end enclosing the remnants of a rammed chalk floor. The bricks were Suffolk whites of late 19th century date with the foundation measuring 1.60m north to south by 2.60m east-west. The second structure was a rectangular brick lined tank or garden type feature 1.7m by 1m. Within the structure was a fill of ceramic and glass fragments of mid 20th century date. The last feature was the undated small pit (S1).
