Full Description

`The ALIDA EN DIRK, Hansz, from Amsterdam to Greenland, on the whale fishery, was drove on shore near Lowestoff the 29th ult. If the weather continues fine, the materials will all be saved, but the vessel is quite a wreck.' (1)

The nationality has been derived as Dutch, since that is the language of the vessel's name, and the Dutch were heavily involved in whaling in Greenland at this period.
