`The CRUMWELL BOTTOM, Bateman, from Selby to London, was lost 2nd instant, near Lowstoffe. Crew saved.' (1)

NB: The conventional spelling for the place of this name is CROMWELL BOTTOM, which has therefore been given as an alternate version of the vessel's name.
