Full Description

A possible part of the Roman road from Ixworth to Stratford St Mary is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (see LINEAR 598 / UID: 1325724). The site is roughly centred at TM 0349 3851 and comprises two straight and parallel linear ditches which extend roughly north / south for circa 175m and could define either side of the Roman road.
