WELSH SCHOONER, 1876
Status: Casualty

'This vessel encountered heavy weather in wind conditions SW force 6,
and labouring and straining considerably, commenced to make water,
which, rapidly increasing, finally necessitated her abandonment. The
hold was lined with pigs of iron, the remainder being dropped from
slings so as to fill her up to the main hatch.'
