BRITISH CRAFT, 1828
Status: Casualty

`Aldbro', 10th Nov. The BURDETT, from Yarmouth to London, struck upon the Shipwash Sand last night, and made so much water, that they were obliged to run her on shore in Hollesley Bay, where she remains full of water. Crew saved.' (1)

NB: The WILLIAM (q.v.), reported in the subsequent issue of LL, shares the same date and similar circumstances of loss with this vessel, indicating a possibility that the WILLIAM is a correction of the original report in source (1).
