[Saro Lerwick Mk.I twin-engined reconnaissance flying boat; one of a batch of 21 delivered between March 1939 and June 1941 to Contract No.636200/37] Sank when camera hatch left open during launching, Felixstowe, 1.9.39. (1)

NB. Production was cancelled after 21 craft had been built due to design and handling problems.
