ENGLISH CRAFT, 1836
Status: Casualty

Lowestoffe 4 February 1836. Early this morning the wind veered round from SSE to E and by N, and blew a heavy gale. At daylight, the beach from Pakefield to Covehithe was covered with broken spars, pumps, boats, & C. The WELLINGTON, Thurland, of Whitby, is totally wrecked on the Barnard: only the Mate is saved. (1)
