Full Description

Of Babwell Friary .... parts of the enclosure wall, and of a footbridge over the river, remain. (S1)

Of this footbridge, only the W. abutment remains visible. It is constructed of flint and mortar built upon a bed of wooden piles: overgrown and in a poor state of preservation. The footings of the E. abutment can be detected beneath the turf in the field on the opposite bank (S2)
