Full Description
On a mound in a secure compound on top of Maidscross Hill overlooking airfield. 150 yards North West along footpath from end of Broom Road.LOCKED. All surface features remain intact, the hatch is locked and the post contains radio equipment.An Orlit A post also stands within the compound. It has been re-roofed and re-painted, is securely locked and also house radio equipment. A radio mast also stands within the compound.Opened in 1968 and closed in 1991.Post sold in September 2019 and the new owner is currently restoring it, and hopes to have an open day in the future (S1).
