Full Description

Linton House is an outbuilding that appears to have been part of what is known as Avenue House on the tithe map and apportionment of 1842, listed as house and yard owned by Edward Colson. Avenue House is a grade II listed property dating to the early 18th century, the outbuilding probably has a similar construction date. By 1895 the outbuilding had been redeveloped as the village fire house. Later uses included a general store (around 1985), and then most recently the property was used in conjunction with an interior design business and hairdressers. There is a large modern extension to the rear of the outbuilding. The outbuilding is of brick construction with a tiled roof (S1).
