Full Description

Geophysical survey identified possible field systems, linear features and an oval enclosure in the central portion of the site. It is located in the vicinity of the two Bronze Age barrows and could potential be related. However it is likely the oval enclosure is a later feature. This would need additional investigation would be required to confirm the chronology. Towards the eastern part of the site anomalies indicative of possible settlement of Anglo-Saxon origin was identified. Within these two larger pit features were identified within could relate to the sunken feature buildings (S1).
