Full Description

A detailed gradiometer survey was undertakn and identifed anomalies of possible archaeological origin across the site, including potential examples of settlement activity and a possible roundhouse. The remaining features may relate to unmapped field boundaries, dating from the medieval period and indicate the developing agricultural hinterland outside of Saxmundham. Features visible on historical mapping, such as field boundaries and farm buildings were also been identified through the survey. (S1).
