Full Description

Manor Cottage is a Grade II 15th Century building with later alterations. Originally a timber framed open hall, now divided into two storeys with a later single storey services addition to the east end. Construction is part red brick and part render on timber frame with a mixture of 19th century and 20th century casement windows. Roof is plain tile, originally thatched. External chimney stacks sit at each table end. The west stack is particularly large with offsets. The roof frame has crown post part hidden in a bedroom deciding wall. The upper portion is exposed in a loft (S1).
