Full Description

2014: A survey of WW2 heritage at risk on the Suffolk coast identified the remains of a concrete strucute in the eroding cliffs comprised of a base of concrete with c.1m thick brickwork above. A large section of concrete was also present at the base of the cliff. The main body of the structure was located at a dpeth of c.1.5m below the surface. Due to limited exposure of the feature intepretation is problematic but is likely either the remains of a below-ground bunker or a revetted trench of WW2 date. (S1)
