Full Description
Lead seal matrix, circular, flat with a projecting lug on one side. Circular hole in the middle. Plain reverse. Obverse has a pattern of 8 lines radiating from the central hole. Inscription reads +SIGILL WALT SHOV. It's unclear whether the 3rd letter from the end shoukd be an H or a N, but examination of the matric makes an N more liley. The inscription could therefore be interpreted as ' the seal of Walter Snou (i.e. Snow). 13th century (S1)
