Full Description
Findspot of 15th Century Tournai Jetton at Long Melford New School. The Tournai jetton is 26mm diameter with obv. Sacred monogram his, crown over serving as initial mark, AVTEM.TRANCIENS.P. and continues on reverse with a cross paty stars in angles, TRANSIENS PER MED. This jetton is a fairly early Tournai jetton, probably second quarter of 15th century (S1). Translation of text on Jetton (S2).
