Full Description

Test pit seven was excavated within the flowerbed to the west of Chiltern House. The test pit was excavated to a depth of 0.7m without finding natural. The pit returned a number of sherds of Victorian pottery, two fragments of animal bone and teeth, fragments of glass bottle and container, and iron nails. A substantial amount of 20th century household refuse was also recovered (S1).
