Full Description

September 2026. South-West Suffolk Claylands Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AI&M) Project.
Probable field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S4) and as low earthworks on visualised lidar data (S5). Additional boundaries visible across this area and depicted by historic Ordnance Survey maps have been excluded from the mapping. As the earthwork elements of the site are visible on lidar visualisations from a relatively recent survey (2022) it is likely that they still survive.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk County Council Environment Team), 8th September 2026.
