Full Description

October 2026. South-West Suffolk Claylands Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AI&M) Project.
A linear earthwork ditch, visible on 1940s aerial photographs (S1), may be part of a medieval to post medieval field boundary. Alternatively, it could be of relatively recent origin, and/or part of a drainage feature or trackway. The southeastern portion is rather indistinct and could simply be a change in vegetation rather than an earthwork. The earthworks are not visible on visualised lidar data from a survey in 2022 (S2) and have presumably been levelled.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk County Council Environment Team), 8th October 2026.
