Full Description

Moat. Square with enclosures, wet - creek connecting to river Stour (S1). Part occupied, hall late C18. Adjoins church (NYW 022).
2003: Desilting of moat complex revealed medieval finds and an Anglo-Saxon loomweight fragment from features eroding on moat edge. This work was subjected to archaeological monitoring in order to record any significant deposits and to ensure the moat's form was not accidentally altered (S2).
