Full Description

Moat (remains of). Rectangular. Landscaped into series of ponds, only in its original form in the S (wet, in good condition). Isolated, approximately 450m from parish boundary. Occupied - hall C16-C17 + modernisations. Brandeston Manor Hall held by Ralph de Curbespine of the Bishop of Bayeux, C11/C12. In time of Edward I belonged to the Bavent family, circa 1360 given to the Nunnery of Dartford (R3).
