Full Description

Moat. Part gone, occupied, isolated (S1). TL 8100 4700 Moat; TL 8104 4697 Blacklands Hall - C16.
`This moat is but a long curved channel, graduating from 20ft wide at the NE end to 60ft at the SW' (S1)(R1).
1950: Further remains at TL 8147 1004, not accounted for by VCH - dry and overgrown (S1).
Blacklands Hall - a superior residence with outbuildings attached. Porch wall dated 1576 - dates building? Restored and enlarged in 1850.
