Full Description
Moat. Square with rectangular enclosure. Unoccupied (S1).
A waterfilled moat with partly ditched enclosure to the east. The moatcentred TL 8522 5473 measures overall 58.0m E - W by 48.0m N - S with arms averaging 6.0m wide and the extension from the SE angle, 100.0m long by 6.0m wide. The interior of the moat is raised slightly above the surrounding area, but no trace of a building was found. The enclosure to the east has been covered by modern development. The
second published entry (TL 8528 5479) refers to a landscaped garden pond (S2).
