Full Description

C12 and C13 pottery found in the garden of the Old Mill House, which overlooks the River Butt. During flooding in 1954 Tudor foundations of an earlier part of the building were revealed. The mill was erected in the C18 and burnt down in the C19. S West of the Ipswich Museum visited the site in August 1954 - see cutting from EADT, 28-8-54 (S1).
