Moated square enclosure, named Nether Hall on OS 1st edition map (S1). Bulldozed 1967.
C13 sherds with bone, shell.
Rectangular moat shown, tree-covered, on 1837 Tithe Map of Old Newton (S2). Named as `Moat & Plantation' on accompanying apportionment.
